Job Description

Deputy Residential Service Manager

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our residential living Home. Homeleigh is based in Crumpsall, Manchester (M8).

To deputise and support the Service Manager to use resource effectively to provide personalised care and support to each Service User in line with their Care Plan.

Vacancy Details

Duties include:
* Responsible for the Service, quality and performance, in the absence of the Service Manager.
* Contributes to the development of the annual Service Development Plan as required.
* Works with the Service Manager and team to ensure people using Regard services are safeguarded by consistent compliance with internal policies and systems, all relevant external regulatory requirements (CQC, CSSIW, OFSTED etc).
* Supports the Service Manager to manage and monitor performance against Regard operational targets and timescales; quality standards and sector regulatory requirements, accountable for any specifically delegated tasks/areas.
* Completes and submits delegated work and updates accurately and to deadlines e.g. Q&A/H&S audit actions, Time at Work, petty cash, operational reports, Incident & Accident reporting etc.
* Acts as the Designated Responsible Person on shift as required.
* Manages the team, staff rota and workload by delegating appropriate tasks to staff, directing and supporting them to organise and co-ordinate their specific task deadlines and meet quality standards. as delegated by the Service Manager,
* Contributes to recruitment, induction, support and training of staff as required.
* Ensures Care Plan completion meets agreed internal / external standards e.g. content, level of detail, clearly and comprehensively written, use Regard templates and reflect personalised care in line with Service User needs and goals. Ensures information is up to date.
* Promotes goal-oriented activities and care, actively working with the staff team to support achievement of Service User aspirations and deliver meaningful outcomes.
* Ensures staff capture and collate outcome information using Regard documentation and processes. Responsible for analysing the information to ensure support changes in line with the needs of the individual.
* Offers and presents options to support and empower Service User choice reflecting the importance of appropriate positive risk taking in line with their Care Plan and goals.
* Works in partnership with colleagues, appropriate family, friends, others significant to the individual and care professionals to support each individual Service User.
* Deals with issues, comments and complaints in line with policy and process.
* Supports the reputational and marketing aspects of the Service by maintaining high quality standards of service provided, staff levels and Service facility.
* Demonstrates confidentiality and discretion at all times.
