1.To participate in tasks associated with direct care/enablement of service users including for example
•serving, distribution and clearance of food at meal times;
•making of drinks and snacks during the day, as required;
•cleaning duties, as required;
•washing to the laundry and where required commence laundry;
ensuring safe use and operation of all equipment used.
2.To support the development of social inclusion activities on a group and individual basis and to participate in the implementation and delivery of organised activities.
3.To encourage service users to participate in social inclusion activities to maintain their mental and physical stimulation to support their overall well-being.
4.To support daily living enablement activities, complimentary to those provided by health, as part of a service users' enablement plan prior to their return home.
5.To observe the health and well-being of service users and report any concerns to the Duty Manager, documenting accordingly.
6.To ensure service user support plans are followed and that all information and documentation in relation to a service users stay is recorded accurately and timely in accordance with service procedures.
7.To support the admittance and discharge of service users, ensuring welcoming induction procedures for both service user and their family/carer are followed and documentation completed.
8.To ensure the safety of service users at all times, including evacuation procedures in the case of emergency situations.
9.To ensure effective handovers with Support Workers
10.Ensure cultural, religious and linguistic needs of service users are met.
11.To follow all relevant statutory, policy, codes of practice and procedure guidelines associated with the operation of the service.
12.To co-operate in ensuring service aims and objectives are implemented.
13.To ensure that all customers both internal and external, receive a consistently high quality level of service, commensurate with the standards required by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council
14.To take reasonable care of your own health and safety and co-operate with management, so far as is necessary, to enable compliance with the authority's health and safety rules and legislative requirements.
15.To undertake such personal training as may be deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.
16.To undertake such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grading and nature of the post.
