About Our Client

Are you a support worker looking for something new? Are you wanting to provide High Quality Care for children and Young People aged between 2-25 Years? Our Client provides Care and Education for Children and Young People with Complex Learning disabilities, sensory impairment, communication difficulties and ASD. This is an extremely rewarding role and you would really be making a difference to the lives of the children, young people and their families. Our Client provides High Quality Care in a state of the art environment in Manchester. Excellent rates of Pay and Generous Holiday entitlement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing Person centred Care for Children and Young People
  • Follow client Care Plan's to help clients achieve their personal goals.
  • Assist Service user's with Daily living skills which can include but not limited to:- Personal Care, Cooking, Cleaning and Supporting with Activities
  • Building Relationships with Clients and their families
  • Working as Part of a supportive team to help young people enjoy activities within their local communities and on site.
  • Supporting clients with communication gaining an understanding of the person and their needs.
  • Provide support to children and young people during challenging times and be comfortable to deal with challenging behaviour - training is provided.

Preferred Skills:

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or Equivalent
  • 6 Months previous Care/Support Work experience
  • Have previous experience working with Learning Disabilities, Communication Difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder or in a Mental Health Setting
  • Previous experience of Challenging Behaviour
  • NVQ 2 or above preferred but not essential
  • Able to work as Part of a Team

  • Willingness to learn and work towards an NVQ 3 in Children and Young People
