We currently have vacancies for a number of permanent Support Worker roles based at impressive grounds of a popular North West woodland park. The service is a residential school, providing quality care and support for young people with learning disabilities.
Shift Pattern- The role is based on a 42-hour week, on a rota basis, with a variety of shifts ranging from 3 hours to 14 hours per day, covering the period of 8.30am to 10.30pm 7 days a week. (Some shifts may commence before 8.30am).
Salary- £18,000-£19,000 per annum. This is dependent on experience. If a staff member sleeps over there is an allowance of £75 per night.
Main Duties- The successful candidate is responsible for creating a supportive and caring environment for service users, in order to encourage their personal development. The Support Worker must be able to confidently engage and interact with young people to ensure they maintain high quality care to each individual. This is done through assessing their needs, monitoring their progress and providing emotional support.
Teamwork skills are also essential as the successful candidate will work with other support workers, as well as the management team.
Person Specification- NVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 is beneficial but not essential.
All staff are provided with induction training and future personal development.
