As a Support Worker at Huish House you will work with people who have varying degrees of physical and learning disabilities as well as mental health issues, to promote independence and support them to lead as fulfilling life as possible, incorporating both therapy based activities and social based activities.

Throughout a typical day, you'll help our residents with the everyday challenges of washing, dressing and eating. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are really meaningful for your client. You'll be out and about, enjoying life together and no single day will be the same.

The individuals we support at this service enjoy a lot of activities at the service, so confidence in lone working is essential however you will also be working within a team.

We are therefore looking for Support Workers with no experience who can hit the ground running. However we will still provide a full training programme that is specific to the needs of the individuals we support.

We have a an-house team that ensures that all of our services have plenty of PPE at all times. All care and support is carried out following the latest Government guidance. Our aim is to keep you and the people we support safe.
