The Support Worker role
The role of a Support Worker is a front-line role which has the most direct impact on the lives of the people the company supports. It's varied interesting and incredibly rewarding and can involve a wide range of tasks.
Personal Care is a small element of a support workers role, and amongst other tasks you could be supporting somebody to attend college, attend a music concert, climb a mountain, take their first flight on a plane or choose their own clothes on a shopping trip.
You'll assistant and encourage your client to make their own informed decisions and widen their experiences.
You'll need to be willing to support with personal care, assistance with washing, dressing, bathing etc. and maintain accurate records in a person's care and support
