We're looking to hire a Support Worker in our Residential service at The Lawns in Exmouth. As a Support Worker you will work with individuals who have varying degrees of learning and physical disabilities, behavioural support as well as mental health issues. We will support to promote independence and support them to lead as fulfilling life as possible, incorporating both therapy based activities and social based activities.
Throughout a typical day, you'll be supporting individuals with the everyday routines of washing, dressing or eating. Enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are really meaningful for the people we support. You'll be helping them access the local community through education, day trips etc, enjoying life together and no single day will be the same. At the end of your day, you'll go home with the biggest smile on your face knowing you've made a difference to someone's life.
The individuals we support at this service enjoy a lot of community access, so confidence in lone working is essential. However you'll receive full person-specific training to provide exceptional care and support for people we support.
