We are currently looking to recruit a support worker to our Leat’s service in Truro.
We are looking for enthusiastic, positive and proactive individual who will embrace change, to join a well-established team in providing a high quality service for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have experience of supporting and encouraging individuals in their daily activities whilst ensuring that care, respect and dignity are shown at all times.
You will work well in a team but equally be confident and able to work independently in the community when required.
The role includes assisting people in all aspects of their daily living, including personal care and supporting them to engage in activities which promote independence, choice and supporting confidence.
Good written and verbal communication skills are important for this role as is the ability to use a computer to update support plans and maintain records.
Experience is desirable along with a Level 2 Social Care qualification or equivalent, also a clear understanding of the Councils safeguarding processes is essential.
The post is primarily based in the Truro service though staff will be expected to support other services if required.
All though the post is stated as a fixed fulltime (37hrs) we would be happy to consider applications from applicants wanting to work part time as well.
