We have a great opportunity for a Support Worker to work on a one-to-one basis with a lady in her own Newmarket home. By helping her with the everyday challenges that most people take for granted you will enable her to live independently and enjoy life.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, energetic, flexible and above all reliable. Whilst full training is given, experience of working with people with a learning and/or physical disability would be advantageous.

You should be able to drive the lady's vehicle for trips out, shopping and appointments, plus the occasional short break holiday.

Hours are variable but planned well in advance to best serve as many needs as possible. The role involves daytime shifts, including some weekends, plus some sleep-ins. Occasional overtime available. Working on a rota basis with 2 other colleagues, every effort would be made to allow for plenty of days off, including weekends. Whilst much of your time will be spent working 1-1, you would be very much a part of the team and will regularly join colleagues for trips out in the community.
