Exciting opportunity for a Synthetic Chemist to join an international contract research laboratory!
Do you have at least 3 years’ hands-on experience of synthetic organic chemistry from industry or academia? Are you confident in a range of purification techniques including HPLC, flash chromatography and crystallisation? Are you seeking an industrial role with excellent career prospects? Then this could be the role for you!
As a member of the synthetic organic chemistry team, your duties will involve small scale synthesis, purification and isolation of a wide range of radiolabelled compounds for a variety of pharmaceutical applications. You will primarily be designing and following synthetic routes for Carbon-14 radiolabelled compounds, including novel chiral compounds, working within a clinical/GMP environment.
To be considered for this position you will possess:
* Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience of synthetic organic chemistry
* Experience of purification techniques such as Prep HPLC, flash chromatography and crystallisation
* Experience of analytical techniques such as NMR and mass spectrometry
* The ability to work effectively as a team and with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication skills
Experience of Carbon-14 synthesis would be highly desirable but is not essential as full training will be provided.
