'TALISMANIC RECRUITMENT CONSULTANTS, where are you hiding?' Came the cry.

'At home, derr!'

'Oh yeh.'

After such a random start to a job advert, you'd be forgiven for wondering why the hell you would consider working for a company named for a Chinese black and white bear. As well as, what on earth have Pandas got to do with Recruitment anyway?

The answer to the first question is simple.

Fun, Money and compassion. Why else would anyone want to go to work? Fundamentally, we are a small company wrapped up and tied with the bow of 'forward-thinkingness', a big company attitude (believe it or not).

Secondly, Panda's do have very little to do with Recruitment. What happened is we started with a premise.

That premise was that it doesn't matter what you're called, what matters is the standard of service. Everything else is secondary.

Then we thought, 'who is our target demographic?' and decided that we want a brand name that was, above all, memorable. Then we thought, we would quite like to envoke feelings of confidence and reassurance in our target demographic, feelings of support and encouragement and we definitely do not want to sound like a company whose name was thought up by a contestant on The Apprentice. Then came the lightbulb moment. It was in the shower (imagine a heavenly adonis or aphrodite figure of beauty at this point) and the name Recruitment Panda was born and it was liked. By the way, we have a sector-leading social media presence.

We also liked the connotations of being black and white and endangered species, as in good recruitment consultancy is black and white and the skill sets and talents we're known for finding are pretty rare. The great thing is that our candidates and clients seemed to like it too, hence we secure around 150 people a year for around 50 employers and growing. We also do so with a retention rate that is around 21% better than the recruitment industry average.

Enough about us, you can see that we do things differently and are competitive and offer many of the same things our competitors do (and more). You need to know what we're looking for.

We are looking for a talismanic recruiter. A recruiter who has experience and retains the hunger for success. Hunger for a recession-proof industry. Hunger for a position where they can make a real difference to both society and to their own lives, truly without limits. In an organisation where you can have real influence and take a seat at the top table. A table which is about to take off.
