There is an opportunity for a Team Manager with Fostering experience to join Southend On Sea on a permanent basis.
We are assisting Southend in recruiting a Team Manager to aid and ensure Southend Borough Council provides a professional fostering service, by being responsible for the efficient and cost effective provision of a needs-led fostering service to children, young people and their families.
The post covers Private Fostering and SGO provision within Southend.
Typical responsibilities associated with the post.
Provide formal, professional supervision to staff on a monthly basis as a minimum, ensuring that appraisals are undertaken, identifying skills gaps or training needs.
Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to and that the council fully complies with its statutory requirements, e.g. The National Minimum Standards and Fostering Regulations; Private Fostering Regulations and SGO regulations.
Monitor performance, standards and quality of work to ensure that the Council complies with policy and procedures and professional standards. Consistently review the performance of the team to ensure that the council embeds a culture of continuous improvement and restorative practice.
