A growing pharmaceutical company has an exciting opportunity for Project Manager to join its team. You will be ensuring the completion of chromatography based projects and will require technical expertise in this area in order to support the team successfully. You will be an experienced analytical chemist with previous experience of leading projects from beginning to end.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Taking the lead role and responsibility for managing a project from start to finish, covering all aspects of the study
Planning, organising, co-ordinating, performing and reporting assigned project work to ensure that all tasks are completed within the required timeframes in accordance with defined plans, methods, procedures and quality requirements
Execution of their own work and the work of others in their area of responsibility
Training and supervision of analytical staff as and when required in their area of responsibility
Liaising with the laboratory regarding scheduling of work and exerting influence to ensure project progress
Reviewing enquiries and assisting in the production of quotations
Assisting the Head of Projects, deputising in some duties where requested
Acting as a deputy to other Project Managers in their absence to ensure that currently running projects are progressed in accordance with their plans
Comply with in-house, GMP, GLP, GCP and UKAS quality requirements as appropriate
Generating and completing quality records (including any associated CAPA(s) as and when required, and within the required timeframes
Taking a proactive approach to ensure continual improvement in their area of responsibility
Review of developments to techniques and instrumentation and to advise management on their potential importance to the company
Ensuring that high quality work is carried out in the most efficient manner and minimising error with all areas of responsibility
Checking of raw data and draft reports
Client liaison and communications
Ensuring their Training Record is maintained to reflect current levels of work being performedPrevious Experience:

Experience in a broad range of Chromatographic techniques is essential such as GC, HS-GC, GC-MS, LC and LC-MS (ideally)
Significant lab experience
Proven project management skills in a GxP environment - extensive experience of laboratory projects and project management
Experience in designing and performing method validation
Raising, investigating and closing out of quality records in a GxP project environment.
GMP experience (GLP and GCP also preferable but not essential)Skills:

Good time management
Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
Be comfortable communicating with and managing clients
