Clinical Technology provides specialist wide-ranging technical services across the healthcare community in Cornwall, including the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust and Cornwall Foundation Trust. The service provides whole life management of medical equipment from pre-purchase and maintenance issues to disposal. A medical Equipment Library provides a comprehensive loan equipment service for the RCHT.
This role Technical support specialist is to be the departmental RFID specialist and Point of Contact, while also facilitating and co-ordinating the daily operations of DCT Technical Stores. This will include helping develop RFID procedures and policies in conjunction with the Technical support Team Lead, as well as providing full periodic support to the Medical Equipment Library as required, and providing oversight to a Technical Support Assistant. Day-to-day duties will include: responding to and helping resolve RFID queries from the wider Trust, receipt and despatch, technical stock monitoring, ordering and accounting, dealing with complex issues, updating the RFID and Asset Management System, and acting as front-of-house for the Clinical Technology Department.
