Emergency Telephone Clinical Assessment –Paramedic

Do you want to work for an Ambulance Trust in the UK that has been rated ‘good’ over all by the Care Quality Commissioning group (CQC)

We are looking to recruit reliable and enthusiastic Paramedics to join our motivated, friendly and hardworking team of Clinicians based in Bicester, Oxfordshire to support the smooth running of our Emergency Services.

The Role;

Working within this role you will carry out complex clinical assessments over the phone in a sensitive manner providing advice and information in line with clinical assessment software, whilst utilising your own knowledge, experience and professional judgement and referring to other services where appropriate.

This is an exciting, challenging and extremely rewarding role with no shift being the same!

Not only do we offer an excellent basic salary of £28,050 - £36,644pro rata you will also receive the following unsocial hour’s allowance:

All time Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8pm and before 6am Time plus 30%.

All time on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight) Time plus 60%

Interested?

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registration

  • Specialist Practitioner or Paramedic

  • Triage experience

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Good level of computer literacy

  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone

  • Recent professional clinical experience

Desirable Requirements:

  • Motivated towards further professional development

  • Understanding of Clinical Governance and audit practices

  • Flexible working approach

Successful candidates will be required to complete an eight week fulltime training programme, covering internal systems, NHS pathways assessments and call centre mentoring. We offer continued support throughout this role.
