Testing Technician job in Northampton at Interaction Recruitment

Our client has a new role for a Testing Technician to join thier General Testing Department in Kettering. This is a lab based role and is working the late shift from 11am - 7pm Monday to Friday.

The role will involve working as part of a small team undertaking of general testing. Your duties will include carrying out routine physical testing in accordance with International and European standards in a fast-turnaround environment. The role requires the operation of test equipment to generate results which are recorded on paperwork and on electronic results sheets in preparation for transfer to test reports. You will also be required to prepare test samples prior to testing, maintain tidiness of laboratory and to maintain sample storages. You may also be required to assist Technologists when dealing with customers during visits and seminars.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work, have a meticulous eye for detail and be able to demonstrate good multi-tasking skills. The role will require someone who is equally able and comfortable to work on their own and as part of a team. 

Candidates should have at least 5 GCSEs, including Maths, English and Science. Experience of working in a Test Laboratory would be desirable.
