Spire Dunedin Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Manager to join or established theatre team responsible for delivering patient care, proving appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department.

Spire Dunedin is an elective hospital situated in Farnham that has recently been rated as good by the CQC. We offer a range of surgical specialties which include Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Cosmetic, Urology, Dermatology and ENT. Spire Dunedin also has a recently opened endoscopy suite based in our scenic site in the Surrey Hills.

Please note that due to our rural location access to your own vehicle is critical.

Duties and responsibilities:

The Theatre Manager will provide appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department.  Maximising theatre utilisation, Consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards, the post-holder will provide strong leadership and direction to all staff across the service and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise relating to professional issues.

The Theatre Manager will provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative and immediate recovery phase of care by ensuring all departmental staff members deliver high quality patient care, ensuring this is achieved within the available resources and agreed departmental budget.

Who we're looking for:

  • Be NMC or HCPC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Have a minimum of 1 years Theatre Manager or Deputy Theatre Manager experience.
  • Strong team leadership skills and previous management experience to be evidenced
  • Audit experience, HR experience
  • Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
  • Strong communication skills

  • Leadership Qualification
  • Mentorship Qualification
