Theatre Manager for this large private hospital in Cardiff. A leading provider providing medical and surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, cardiology and general surgery all delivered through a strong Multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Manager Nurse or ODP qualified that has experience leading and developing a team as well as a service.

Primarily you will ensure the team delivers effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership but main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and assist in the delivery of patient care
  • Provide appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department
  • Identify, develop and support opportunities for improvements in operating department practices as highlighted through evidence, research based practice and national standards
  • To ensure that Clinical Governance and Risk management are embedded within daily practice.
  • Achievement of the theatre budget and specific Key Performance Indicators
  • Work with others to optimise theatre utilisation in relation to booked operating sessions and availability to meet the demands of elective work
  • Manage staff rosters in the most efficient way to meet demand

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Theatre/ Anaesthetic qualification
  • Previous experience at a senior level within a theatre environment
  • Evidence of CPD in clinical management role

Highly attractive salary DOE £52,000 - £60,000 + many incentives working for this provider - this is a full time position working 5 days a week over the 7 as the needs of the business service requires
