Theatres | Manager | NMC | Ilford | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week | £55,000 - £60,000 DOE    

Spire London East Hospital are looking for an experienced Manager to lead our fantastic Theatre team. You will provide Clinical and Managerial leadership throughout the department and ensure the department delivers high quality patient care.

Spire London East Hospital (formerly Spire Roding) is located in Redbridge, on the borders of East London and Essex.  We offer comprehensive private hospital services, ranging from outpatient clinics and physiotherapy to surgery and diagnostic tests in a relaxed, clean and comfortable environment. The hospital has 24 inpatient beds and 16 day case rooms called ‘pods’. Facilities include four operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, 2 extended recovery unit, pharmacy, x-ray, outpatient and diagnostic facilities.

Duties and responsibilities:

As Theatre Manager you will primarily be responsible for managing the department and ensuring our high quality patient care is delivered. This will include building strong relationships with Consultants, maximising theatre utilisation and ensuring Clinical Governance and Risk Management are embedded. You will manage staff rosters, KPI’s, 1-2-1’s and appraisals whilst encouraging and developing the skills and knowledge of others. This is a varied role that will also provide the opportunity to work hands on in a Clinical capacity as you continue to promote best evidence based practice.

Who we're looking for:

  • You will need to have experience of Clinical Management within Theatres   
  • Be a Registered Clinical Practitioner
  • A great relationship builder as strong relationships with our Consultants is a crucial part of the role
  • Someone with the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
