Theatre Practitioner - Recovery

Salary: £32,270 - £35, 855 (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location: London

Permanent, Full time - 37.5hrs per week

Working Pattern: (typically, 5 x 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of (Apply online only)) with participation in the on-call rota

Pulse is recruiting a Senior Theatre Practitioner - Recovery in partnership with one of the UK's largest and leading healthcare providers. The Theatre Practitioner will be joining the theatre team at the one of its private hospitals in London. The hospital has 127 registered beds, including 90 inpatients, 21-day case, 8 endoscopy, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit containing 9 beds, with 24-hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit.

As a Theatre Practitioner (Recovery), you will responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients. In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.

Roles and responsibilities:

Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice.
Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of post-operative patient care.
Prepare the recovery in readiness to admit patients after surgical procedures.
Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Coordinator immediately.
Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures.


Registered RGN or ODP
Recovery experience in a range of surgical specialities
Experience in assisting with planning and implementing of post-operative care
