Job Description

Theatre Practitioner – Anesthetics & Recovery | Band 5/6 equivalent | Permanent | 22.5 hours per week-Mon to Sat

Spire Manchester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner, with a focus on Anaesthetic & Recovery, to join our expanding team. You will support across a variety of operations including Orthopaedics, ENT and Gynae. We are more than happy to cross train and upskill Practitioners with an interest in those areas. We have 6 state of the art Theatres, which includes a Hybrid Theatre and Robotic assisted surgeries amongst many other modern pieces of equipment.

Spire Manchester Hospital is a brand new, £65m state-of-the-art healthcare facility offering patients a wide range of integrated surgical, medical and diagnostic services. The rapidly expanding team in Manchester consists of over 500 colleagues, who thrive in the welcoming atmosphere that is friendly, supportive and progressive.

Duties and responsibilities:

In this dual role you be responsible for assisting in the anaesthetic procedure during our patients surgery and then with their recovery, all the while assessing the patient’s health and well-being. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.

Job Requirements

Who we are looking for:

You will be a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with extensiveAnaesthetic & Recoveryexperience and be used to working in teams and with minimum supervision. Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training is also desirable.
