What is the job of a Support Worker?
A Learning Disabilities Support worker is essential to work every day to help all residents live a dignified and meaningful life. The job requires the highest of standards, bags of passion while always considering the resident’s choices, their views and respecting their independence.
Duties are diverse and ranging, you could be assisting with medication, helping manage their finances, supporting with domestic chores, helping go shopping, helping, assisting and going to appointments, personal care like washing, bathing and dressing. Going on activities to the zoo, cinema, music and walks to name only a few.
What we are looking for in a Trainee Support Worker?
Any experience no matter how small could be an advantage. Have you looked after a family member, a friend, volunteered or always harboured a passion to work in this industry?
For this role our client is now commencing a commitment to provide face to face full training with opportunities to access NVQ training which can be supported to begin to progress your career as a Support Worker.

Being able to think and make decisions under pressure, be positive when the chips are down and always keep a smile will all help secure your next job.

Full time or part time shifts are possible…. shifts operate between hours of 7am and 10pm. You will need to work a mixture of early, late and long days.
These are permanent full time contracts based on 24 or 36 or 42 hour contracts plus excellent overtime opportunities on top.

2. Different shift patterns available with permanent contracts ranging from 24-35 hours
