Job Description

My client, a nursing home based in Stockport, Manchester are looking for a Unit Manager (RGN/RMN) on a permanent basis for days. You will work as part of the Care Home Management team in the capacity as Unit Lead, to provide clinical leadership and to support the registered Manager in order to ensure service users receive the highest quality of care.

The role will be based on a 27 bedded general nursing unit within a luxury nursing home. You will be supported by a great team of nurses and HCA’s on your unit. The home is looking for someone with experience in a similar role however they are more than happy to consider nurses who are looking to take the next step in their career.


36-48 hours, days


£18.00 per hr (Paid breaks)

Job Requirements

Essential requirements:

  • Be a qualified RGN/RMN
  • Ability to work as part of team and on own initiative ie operating and leading a shift in absence of care home Manager
  • Have a valid NMC pin number
  • Be committed and dedicated to the role.
  • Have experience within a Care Home or similar environment
  • Satisfactory Disclosure completion upon successful application
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise/Manage a team within nursing home.
  • Comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all times
  • Ensure that all residents have full risk assessments and person-centred care plans in place and that these are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Take responsibility for medication administration and management
  • Carry out other nursing duties associated with the role including management of resident needs, audits, record keeping, wound dressings, medication administration, feeds etc.
  • Promote resident independence and respect their dignity and choices at all times
  • Work in line with Company policies and procedures
