Job Description

Veterinary Surgeon required in Northwich, Cheshire

We are currently seeking Veterinary Surgeon to be based in the Northwich, Cheshire area. Applicants of all levels are welcome.

The Successful Applicant will be working for an independent RCVS accredited first opinion Small Animal Service based in a beautiful part of the Cheshire countryside with great transport links to Manchester, Liverpool, and Chester.

They are a young, dynamic practice, committed to providing the highest standards of care to our patients and clients. Their reputation has been built on 'word of mouth' recommendations. The service sees a varied small animal case load with responsive and keen clients.


* Digital X-ray

* Ultrasonography

* Dental x-ray

* endoscopy,

* bronchoscopy,

* laparoscopy

* in-house laboratory facilities.

The Service

* The successful applicant will be joining a team of eight veterinary surgeons – comprising of three certificate holders of which two are advanced practitioners.

* There is a dedicated nursing team of ten RVN's (three certificate holders) and two SVN's providing 24-hour nursing care to their patients.

* Their administration staff of five receptionists and one practice manager completes their small and friendly service.

* The successful applicant will be hard working, enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile for their patients, their clients, and their colleagues.

* In return you will provided with a supportive environment with an opportunity to discuss cases at daily clinical rounds attended by all the veterinary surgeons.

* Some experience preferred, but most importantly we need a team player with enthusiasm and a desire to work to exceptional standards.


* Equivalent of a 3.5 day working week 1 in 8 rota)

* A set day off each week

* Set Half a day either side of a night or weekend on call

* An additional day in lieu for weekend work

* CPD is actively encouraged and funded with scope to undertake a certificate if required

* Salary commensurate with experience, memberships & pension

* On site accommodation for OOH work

Role Requirements

* Clinical Experience: All levels welcome

* Qualifications: Relevant Degree in Veterinary Medicine.

* Registration: RCVS Registration & Right to work in the UK
