WAKING NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER

PART TIME – 20 HOURS

£100 PER NIGHT – 10PM TO 8AM – THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT

IDEALLY YOU WILL BE A CAR DRIVER WITH A CAR TO BE ABLE TO GET TO THE SERVICE.

Our client has a beautiful Learning Disabilities Residential Service, it is a Victorian House over 3 floors supporting up to 19 clients near Hawkhurst, Kent and has been established for over 25 years. They recently became part of the Queen Elizabeth Foundation for Disabled People.

The candidate we require will need to have a passion for helping others and actively want to help our clients service users to live fulfilling, healthy and happy lives.

Waking Night Support Worker’s will ideally have some care experience, but individuals with personal experience will also be considered.

If you are caring and can explain in an interview why you want to join the industry this could be for you.

Every day is different you could be day to day support including medicine, community help like shopping, activities like cinema or working alongside them with occupation needs and support. Other areas can involve cooking, assisting living and dealing with mild challenging behaviour and possibly nonverbal communication. There will be some personal care with some clients and some just prompting.

You will need to be available on Zoom or Teams for interview. Decisions will be provided asap.

The ideal Waking Night Support Worker:

Want to embark on this project from day one to set up and make this a well-known place to work in the area.
Have exceptional communication skills
Ensure the service users are supported at all times, promoting a safe and happy lifestyle
Work well under pressure
Have previous professional experience in this role or a care role
Know and understand nonverbal communication and challenging behaviour
Work well with a brand new elite and dynamic team
